Day 60

Let’s finish with a prayer:

There is That Within Me that is perfect health – always has been, always will. It is magnificent Energy, coalescing through my thoughts and feelings to become form as me. It is the Divine Pattern of all that was, is now, and can be. It is my Lifeforce.

I am more open than I was 60 days ago to the revealing of that Divine Pattern of myself. I now accept a new story about my body and my life. I declare I am an excellent picture of The Divine in action. My cells have been reenergized and are doing the work they are meant to do. My blood is clean, my muscles are flexible. My skeleton is strong and resilient. My organs are functioning beautifully. I am a new person, pain free and happy with who I am accepting myself to be.

I know that as I have accepted Health as my divine birthright, I have also accepted it for everyone in the Thank God We’re Healthy campaign. And as we accept Divine Health as our new story, we accept it for more people than we can possibly imagine. Our choosing Health for ourselves makes the world a healthier place to be. And this is a good thing!

Gratefully I remember the Truth of my being. Gratefully I realize the Truth has set me free. I celebrate Health in every area of my life and the lives of others.

I release these words to the Law of Mind, knowing they are already done. And so it is.

Thank you for allowing me to serve you the past 60 days. I have gained so much from our journey!!

Day 59

Tomorrow is our last day of our Thank God We’re Healthy campaign. How do you feel?

There was a movie with Jane Fonda years ago that I can’t remember the name of … but I do remember a scene with a man sticking his head out the window and yelling “I’m mad as hell, I’m not going to take it anymore!”

In a way, this is the attitude we have to approach our healing with --- not with the “mad as hell” – tho that feeling would give the words a push – but the “I’m not going to take this anymore.” That thought, plus the feeling, wakes us up! We suddenly realized all we have accepted in our lives that we really don’t like – and that we don’t have to have to settle for any of it.

Sometimes when we get that feeling, we forget to carry on with it, and replace what we don’t want, with what we do want.

If you haven’t had the success you wanted with this campaign, perhaps you ought to get mad! Bring yourself to the feeling and then yell “I’m not going to take this anymore!” and don’t stop there! Tell the Universe what you DO want! “ The Truth of me is I am healthy – my life works wonderfully – and I feel good! This is my Truth and this is what I choose to see manifest!”

Choose to stand in that Truth until you can feel a sense of joy bubbling up … this is all your atoms dancing to the perfect pattern of health … this is the Universe applauding your decision!

You are all that you’ve decided to be – don’t settle for anything less than The Best!

Day 58

When I wrote about acknowledgment yesterday – I meant for you to acknowledge your own successes!! We spend so much time thinking about the challenges – and not enough time realizing that our work in consciousness is having an effect!!

Here are two successes that were sent to me:

Jeff wrote: “I have noticed that my arthritis is not acting up as it usually does, and I believe it's on the way out. I've also noticed that my clothes are fitting a little looser, and that speaks of weight loss which is very healthy indeed!”

MerriLu wrote: “Yes...it works...and Yes, pain gone is not missed...and YES, I am grateful and YES, I use "Thank God I am Healthy" as a mantra daily and once again, YES...YES...YES...”

Often as I am in the process of changing my thinking about an experience, every little thing I notice that is in the direction of revealing the Truth of me, I call “signs of land.” Remember Noah watching for land during the flood. His first sign was a dove returning with a small twig of olive leaves. The dove symbolizes peace and the olive branch, a winner. As we begin to look for and acknowledge our successes, we feel a deep sense of Peace. The fears about the condition or experience drain away, and we are able to open more fully to our good.

AFFIRM: “My work in Mind is revealing a healthy me! I see it, I acknowledge it, and it continues to be so!”

Monday, October 27, 2008

Day 57

I haven’t heard from anyone participating in our Thank God We’re Healthy campaign lately. Perhaps you got bored? Perhaps it was just too much work? Oh .. wait … I know! Everyone is healed and feeling wonderful!!

Acknowledgment is an important part of the healing process. When I had the back challenge a few years ago, after I realized how I was perpetuating it in consciousness, I started gratefully acknowledging every time it didn’t hurt – no matter how small it was. In fact, I started out by saying “It works! Treatment works!” and got excited about every little thing – from being able to walk up or down the stairs (I lived in a 3 story townhome) to being able to get up off the toilet with little or no pain.

We all know how nice it is to receive acknowledgment – your subjective mind likes it too!!

Affirm: I am so grateful to be able to notice the things that are working in my life!

Day 56

A good day to pray:

I breathe deeply and welcome the powerful Presence of infinitely intelligent Life within me. I allow myself to be still and know that I am God.

God is absolutely all there is – so there can be nothing that isn’t God including me.

Knowing this I claim the perfect pattern of Divine Heath is within me now. I absolutely let go of all stories I have had about myself and my life that said anything different. I am vibrantly alive. I am healthy cells, healthy organs, healthy bones, healthy muscles. The blood that flows though my veins is a Divine Elixir, spreading radiant Life though out my body.

How grateful I am to know this Truth. How grateful I am to have changed my consciousness to one of Perfect Health. How grateful I am to release these words to Spiritual Law, knowing they are already done. And so it is.

Day 55

Sometimes changing our consciousness can seem like a never-ending experience … well, it is! We have to be constantly vigilant about what we are thinking.

One thing I did while changing my consciousness about my back when it was so bad, was pick an affirmation for the day, and consciously breathe deeply and say it when ever I went to the washroom. (I know – it sounds weird, but I couldn’t stick to a “time” .. so I picked an experience – smile!!)

A note about affirmations – choose ones that feel appropriate to you .. in fact the ones you create yourself will resonate with your subconscious mind better than any I could give you.

However, here is a list of affirmations I liked:

I am healthy in body, mind and emotions.
I am strong and healthy and full of Life.
Divine Energy flows through me with ease.
All of my cells are dancing in tune with the Infinite.
I radiate good health all the time.
My body is a great place to be.
I am healthy, happy and harmonious.
Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better.

Friday, October 24, 2008

Day 54

If you have been following this campaign and doing the work suggested, you will have experienced a healing. Or perhaps you haven’t had a total healing yet but there has been some relief in the condition.

If you haven’t participated fully, I have to ask you – do you really want to be well?

As I wrote yesterday – all it takes is wanting it and allowing it to happen!

We are working with a Principle – a Principle that works for us by working through us, according to what we are predominantly thinking about. It cannot not work!! A Principle is like 1 plus 1 equals 2 … 1 plus 1 cannot decide arbitrarily that it will equal 3 or not work at all. It has to equal 2!

Our thoughts and feelings are like that 1 plus 1 -- thoughts and feelings equal manifestation. Wanting involves both thinking health and feeling healthy. Allowing it is Trusting the Principle to work for us.

Affirm: I love living in my healthy body!

Thursday, October 23, 2008

Day 53

In the Abraham-Hicks writings it says that the two factors in the creation of anything are to WANT IT and ALLOW IT.

Wanting it – we all want to be healthy in every aspect of our being, don’t we?

So - do we Allow it? Many people who are experiencing dis-ease are doing so by default. They want to be healthy, but the majority of their thoughts don’t support their wellness.

Dr. Ernest Holmes wrote that the only price we had to pay was in spiritual coin – to me that means paying attention. Paying attention to what we’re thinking about, talking about .. paying attention to what we’re feeling, and then asking “Is this conducive to my greatest good?” and if it’s not – consciously changing the direction we were heading in.

Affirm: “Divine Mind gently, easily, and with humor, reminds me when I am off track”

Wednesday, October 22, 2008

Day 52

“The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, or not to anticipate troubles, but to live the present moment wisely and earnestly.” Buddha

Today, no matter what transpires, let yourself be fully present. Be right where your body is - and not just present, but fully present in Love … This is the wise thing to do. Love is the greatest healing agent in the universe!

If your body hurts, love it anyway.

If your finances are lacking, love them regardless.

If your relationships are painful, love them anyway.

If your work is stressful, love it.

Affirm: I let Love do Its perfect work in me, as me, now!

Tuesday, October 21, 2008

Day 51

Catherine Ponder, one of the great prosperity teachers in New Thought, wrote:

"That which is not for my highest good now fades from me and I no longer desire it.”

One of my health intentions is to live in a trim, flexible body. Yet evenings come and I start thinking about tortilla chips!! Part of me knows late night eating isn’t good for me … yet the voice of those chips calling me is louder!!

I decided to experiment with Catherine Ponder’s affirmation. I have used it the past few days, and am happy to report it’s working!! I know this because as I opened the cupboard this morning to get down the oatmeal, I saw a brand new bag of chips! I had forgotten all about them!!

It is so delightful to remember how powerful we are and what a wonderful tool our mind is. As we embody affirmations as our own, the Universal Subjective Mind takes them and makes them our Truth!! Yea God!!

What desires are calling you that aren’t for your highest good? Use this affirmation in your spiritual work for awhile and see what happens!

"That which is not for my highest good now fades from me and I no longer desire it.”

Monday, October 20, 2008

Day 50

Ernest Holmes wrote: "We should work, not with anxiety, but with expectancy, not by coercion, but with conviction."

How are you doing with this? When you do your spiritual work, are you doing it with an expectancy and conviction? Or are you hoping it will work?

Hope is good – but not when it comes to changing your consciousness about something. “Hope” denotes a chance of it not working.

Working with expectancy and conviction tells the Universe we are serious about our intentions. We require health in all areas of our lives!! And that we are grateful to know we can truly change our thinking and change our experience!!

Affirm today: Divine Mind assists me in attaining and maintaining the consciousness of health.

Sunday, October 19, 2008

Day 49

A good day to pray. Join me in this Spiritual Mind Treatment for our health. Breathe deeply, and allow these words to sink deep into your subjective mind.

We live in an infinite field of possibilities. This Field is the Mind of God, which is everywhere present, infinitely intelligent and unconditionally loving. This Field awaits our choices, becoming what ever we choose.

Today I choose health – mental, emotional and physical health. As soon as I made my choice, Spirit began to radiate through me as health. In my mind’s eye, I see everything changing to complete my choice. I see this radiation of Spirit touch not only my physical body, but the body of my affairs.

I choose balance – and declare that everything in my life is in perfect balance. I feel the blessings of being consciously aware of the Diving Presence within. I feel everything in my life falling into its right and perfect place.

I am so grateful for the Power Within. I am so grateful I am waking up to the Truth of my Being. I am so grateful I can speak this word and experience the effects, not only in my life, but in the lives of all the people in the Thank God We’re Healthy campaign and more. And so it is.

Saturday, October 18, 2008

Day 48

And yet another reason I believe we don’t instantly see the Truth revealed and experience our healing …

We won’t let go of the old story!!

How many of us have done our Treatment work with the intention to be healthy in mind and heart, and then just a little while later, told someone about our ailment, or our lack of money, or love or how awful our job is, etc..

Jesus said “You can’t put new wine into old wineskins.” He was saying you can’t reveal the Truth with the consciousness that created the situation. We have to change our thinking to change our experience.

Today make a decision to not tell your story to anyone – not even you!. If you find your mind moving in that direction, change the direction of your thoughts.
Yes, it isn’t going to be easy – after all our stories have become ingrained – become habits in our minds. But we can do it!! Do it for just one day to see what it feels like! Soon the healthy thinking will become a new habit.

What to think about to replace the old story??? Think about what you are grateful for instead!

Friday, October 17, 2008

Day 47

Day 47

Another reason we don’t instantly see the Truth revealed when we do our Spiritual Mind Treatments is because we don’t believe we are that powerful.

In 1921 Judge Thomas Troward, author of Edinburgh Lectures and other books that influenced Ernest Holmes (the founder of Religious Science) wrote,

“In forming man, God, the Creative Principle, produced a perfect work, and our conception of ourselves as imperfect can only be the result of our own ignorance of what we really are; and our advancement, therefore, does not consist in having something new added to us, but in learning to bring into action powers which already exist in us, but which we have never tried to use, and therefore not yet developed.”

He goes on to say, “If we wish to attain these great powers, the question is, where are we to seek them? And the answer is in ourselves. That is the great secret. Every person is a concentration of the Universal Spirit into individual consciousness. It is the Real Self that we so often leave out in our estimate of what we are. Our challenge is that we have set up barriers to our awareness of it.”

Affirm: All barriers to my awareness of my True Self are dissolved gently and easily.

Thursday, October 16, 2008

Day 46

I’m knowing you had fun yesterday using that powerful tool called your imagination!

We are deepening our understanding that the basis of all healing is a change in belief. So what stops us? We can imagine ourselves healthy …. So why don’t we instantly change?

There are many ways I could answer those questions – today I am going to talk about deservability. Do you really believe you deserve to be healthy, or have that right person in your life, or have plenty of money, or be in the most wonderful profession?

Some of us have left parts of ourselves in the memories of painful childhood experiences that made us feel we weren’t worth of living a full life. Working on our forgiveness processes helped recover those parts. I know you are feeling more whole after doing the work you have already done. (and there always seems to be more work to do in this area)

The past few days have been about remembering who you REALLY are – Spirit in form. As Spirit you are totally worthy of every good thing – how could you not be? It had become a habit to think of yourself as unworthy, undeserving of your Highest Good. Now you know God is your good,. Your good is your God and It is within you now!

AFFIRM: I deserve my highest good – my good is God! God expresses through me as Health!

Wednesday, October 15, 2008

Day 45

Does it make you feel funny to think of yourself in terms of a wonderous Being? I can imagine someone looking at the last two days of our campaign, and thinking “But you don’t understand, my body (or life, or relationship, or job) isn’t working right. If I am so wonderous, why would this be happening?”

Perhaps we’re having the experience we are because we accepted it as it is. We’ve accepted that it isn’t working – not with the sacred acceptance of ‘ok, look how powerful I am – I created dis-ease in my life … now I’ll use that same power to make it the way I want it’ … but with a sense of fatalism ….“God handed me this situation, I’ve got to deal with it.”

This is what we call ‘settling’ – settling for what is, and therefore telling the Universe we want more of it.

If it is true (and I believe it is) that the starting point of all conditions is in our thought-images, then we don’t have to settle for what we’ve created. We can change our mental picture of ourselves, and act as if what we desire is already so!

Spend some time today imagining yourself free of the condition that you’re desiring to change. How would you act differently? What does that freedom look like? How does it FEEL? Focus on that and take it into prayer or meditation, believing that it is possible. It is, you know – nothing is impossible for God – and God is within you right now !!

Tuesday, October 14, 2008

Day 44

Let’s continue being grateful for our lives by letting Deepak Chopra give us our message: "The Wonder of You": http://oneminuteshift.com/videos/wonder_of_you .

AFFIRM: I thank God for the miracle I am and will always continue to be!

Monday, October 13, 2008

Day 43

On Mondays I usually share your stories – however, I didn’t receive any this past week! Which is fine, as today is part of Thanksgiving weekend in Canada and I don’t want it to pass by without talking about gratitude:

I know it’s hard to feel grateful when you’re sick or things aren’t going right in your life … yet, what do you think would happen if you were to tear your thoughts away from what doesn’t seem to be working, and start thinking about all the things you have to be grateful for? Only good can come of it.

Maybe you’re in too much pain, physically, mentally or emotionally, to want to find anything to be grateful for …so….. How about being alive? Because all we know in this dimension, (unless we work at it,) is the physical aspect of Life, we take it for granted. We don’t stop to think about how awesome it is that we are here at all!! I remember watching Rev. Terry Cole-Whittaker on TV years ago, talking about how out of the thousands of sperm racing to the egg, We won!! Just the concept of a single egg, splitting and splitting and each cell knowing what part it was to play in our creation is mindboggling! And who hasn’t looked at a tiny newborn and thought “Wow – I used to be like that?”

We are a miracle in the making – continually evolving into something new. Who knows – maybe our dis-ease is part of that evolutionary process!

Spend some time today consciously being grateful for your life. Make a list and put it somewhere you will see it on a daily basis. Add to it when ever you want.
Meister Eckhart, the great Christian Mystic, wrote “If the only prayer you pray in your entire life is ‘Thank You’, that is enough.”

I am grateful for YOU!

Sunday, October 12, 2008

Day 42

Another good day to pray. Breathe deeply and join me in this Spiritual Mind Treatment:

I see God everywhere. It is the Source of all good. It is all possibility and all power. I am an expression of all God is right here and now. There is nothing I could do to get away from this Truth. It always has been, is now, and ever will be.

Knowing this, I declare I am ready to live a full healthy life. I put down all my old baggage, and stand proudly, willing to move forward with ease. I am healthy in every area of my life. My body, finances, relationships and work all reflect the beauty and harmony of The Divine. This is good, very good.

There is only One Life – God’s Life – and this is the Life I am living now.

Gratefully I release my words, knowing they are already done, and so it is.

Saturday, October 11, 2008

Day 41

Day 41

Our physical body needs food, shelter and rest.
Our emotional body needs attention, peace and love.
Our mental body needs clarity and peace.

Our Spiritual Body, in which all others reside, needs nothing. It just is, always has been and always will be. The recognition of this Truth, and the alignment of our physical, mental and emotional bodies with this Truth, makes all things necessary come into manifestation effortlessly.

Let go of focusing on what you think you don’t have, or what you need.
Focus on God instead.

Friday, October 10, 2008

Day 40

I love the number 4 – it represents balance to me. Which leads me to ask: How balanced do you feel?

I think of standing on a firm foundation of faith - a square, with each corner representing an area of my life: work, finances, health and relationships. My job is to make sure those corners stay squared so I am balanced.

In sewing, after I have stitched a corner, I then turn the material right side out and poke a blunt ended object into the corner from the inside to make sure the corner is pointy.

In life, I see the foundation of our lives as Spirit. Spiritual Mind Treatment, meditation, and affirmations or setting intentions is our way of poking out the corners to make sure our foundation is squared.

We’ve been focusing on one corner – health - yet paying attention to our corners equally brings balance into our lives. I’m sure you’ve noticed that when you pay attention solely to one, the others come out of balance as well.

The easiest way I know of to be in balance, is to remember who we are. As Emmet Fox wrote in The Golden Key …. Instead of thinking about the problems, think about God instead. Think about all the qualities of God you appreciate, and let your corners be squared and your life be in balance!

Affirm: God Life is expressing as me right here and now.

Thursday, October 9, 2008

Day 39

I believe our illnesses are messengers and the message is usually about where we are resisting living the life we are meant to be living. Certainly being sick is a great excuse for not doing our passion!

It is a definite chain of events. We resist living a full life, the resistance makes us ill, then we resist being ill, which brings more illness. If we are serious about being well, we have to know what we’re going to do with our healthy lives.

What do you REALLY want to be doing?

Ask yourself, if I didn’t have to worry about my physical, mental or emotional health, what would I be doing?? What would make my heart sing?

Meditate on this today.

Wednesday, October 8, 2008

Day 38

Ernest Holmes wrote that Unconditional Love overcomes everything unlike itself. Love, then, must be power. He also states that love is the self-givingness of Spirit. Love and Spirit are one and the same. Love heals because Spirit is the presence of wholeness and health.

Recently I had a discussion with someone who takes a lot of medicine. Medicine deals with symptoms and of course, we want relief from our symptoms. The person was embarrassed because of their medications. They felt guilty as they believed themselves to be a New Thought person. I reminded them that medicine was a tool for healing.

My teacher, Rev. Helen Street, when she first started teaching classes in Honolulu, purchased a huge bottle of aspirin and put it on the sink in the washroom. Of course, someone came out and asked her "If you believe what you teach, why do you have a huge bottle of aspirin on the counter?"
Rev. Helen replied "Well, if you can't walk on water - take a boat."

Though the real healing comes from a revealing of the Truth, an uncovering of the Love's Presence, and a change in consciousness, we should not feel guilty or ashamed because we take medicine to help us. If we are in pain or discomfort, it is hard to focus on being whole. In Truth, if everything is God, then the doctors, nurses, medicines, etc., are all an expression of God in our lives for our healing. In Divine Mind we are already whole and perfect in every way.

Breathe deeply and let the Truth be revealed!!

Tuesday, October 7, 2008

Day 37

We’re just over half way through our adventure in changing our consciousness about health. We’ve made our declarations, and re-committed ourselves to them. We have done our forgiveness processes. We have meditated, done Spiritual Mind Treatments, and affirmations. We have remembered that what we predominantly focus on is what we will manifest in our lives.

I believe in health. I believe in physical, mental and emotional health, and I believe it is possible for all of us. I KNOW there is a Divine Pattern of Health that is much greater than any condition we might have manifested. When it seems like things aren’t working the way I want them to, I refuse to live in fear. When I become afraid, I have to ask myself, "Where's my strength? Where's the power?" It always come back to God.

Do we really believe in a Power that is infinitely intelligent and unconditionally loving or do we have a wimpy god? What ever we believe about God is what we believe about ourselves. There IS a Principle within us that responds to whatever we are choosing for ourselves. If I choose illness (yes, I know we would never consciously choose illness – but we choose it by our actions – where we put our focus) I get to experience more illness. If I choose wellness – I get to experience more wellness.

When I sat down and made my declaration for health at the beginning of our Thank God We’re Healthy campaign, all the Power of the Universe was behind that declaration, attracting to me instantly all I would need for my choice to be made manifest. When I veered off into illness thinking, that Power followed me, again making my dominant thoughts manifest. I must be vigilant in my thinking! And I must trust that Power to do It’s work.

Jesus told us to “Pray believing it is so, and it will be.” In Religious Science we realize we are “praying without ceasing” through our thoughts. Where are your thoughts right now concerning your health?

Come back to your Path, claim the Power, be vigilant and let the Power do It’s work!!

Day 36

Day 36

One of our participants has been working on quitting smoking .. she wrote the other day and said she’d “fallen off the wagon” but was getting back on and doing her work.
BRAVO!!

None of us are perfect – and after year or months of a habit (whether it be smoking, or habitual thinking about some condition) very few can just quit cold turkey! It’s nothing to be ashamed of, nothing to feel guilty for. The important thing is to get back into the new groove!

Remember records? Those plastic things we used to listen to and be so careful of because if they got scratched – the needle would get stuck in the rut and drive us crazy!?!? It’s almost like a dominant thought creates a groove in your brain that gets deeper and deeper, so that any thought that’s remotely like it, falls into that groove.

This a good reason for affirmations! It is said that saying affirmations with feeling and belief can create a new pathway that overrides the previous ones in 21 days. You have to pick some that really resonate with you. My favourite is:

Divine Mind now assists me in attaining the consciousness of ________.

Remember, we’re doing our healing work from the inside out – so we’re building a healing consciousness!! I KNOW we are supported in every step we take by The Divine and I am so grateful!!
__________

Day 35

A good day to pray:

I breathe deeply, allowing myself to settle into my Spirit. In this peaceful place, I feel the powerful Presence of The Divine. I sense the infinite intelligence. I feel the unconditional love. I am in awe of knowing I am the beloved in whom God is well pleased.

As I sit with this feeling, I notice a shift in my consciousness. All old stories of dis-ease are gently falling away like autumn leaves. They have done their service and are finished.

In their place a sense of newness is born. A feeling of vitality floods my cells and radiates out into my world. I am healthy! On every level of my being, I am healthy!

This is my Truth. This is my new story and I am sticking to it. I am so grateful for the constant Presence in my life. I am grateful the life I am living is an extension of God Life, and I make it good, very good.

Gratefully I release these words, knowing they are so. And so it is.

Day 34

Sometimes when we’re talking about our health, we say “my bad back”, “my cancer”, “my depression” etc., as if that condition was an entity that we own and live with – just like we say “my cat” or “my dog.”

I wish I could find a poem I once read called “Adam Names the Animals.” When I read that poem years ago, I realized that we get to experience what ever we name.

Every time I use the phrase “my bad back,” I am telling the Universe I want to experience more of the effects of that condition I have claimed as my own. The Universe says YES – that is the only word It knows. The Universe cannot say “Sorry – even though you’ve been thinking about the condition for months, and are still claiming it, I can’t give it to you because you Treated about it this morning.” It can only give you more of what you are focused on.

Where is your focus right now? What are you claiming for yourself?

Oh I know – You’re focused on and claiming your Highest Good!!

Affirm: I am healthy in mind, emotions and body!

Friday, October 3, 2008

Day 33

I received an e-mail the other day that basically said “you can’t just think yourself well.”

OK, if one believes that – then they have to live by it. The basic Law in this dimension is IT IS DONE UNTO YOU AS YOU BELIEVE.

I agree healing has to be balanced on all levels of our being. If we’re Treating to lose weight, and continue to eat big, huge, yummy desserts every meal, we are counteracting our Treatment. That is, if we believe dessert is bad for us.

When I was studying for the ministry with Rev. Helen Street in Honolulu, HI., our class used to go out for snacks after class. One night the topic of conversation was about how bad sugar is for us, and Helen reached out and drew the sugar bowl towards her, and put her hands around it. She leaned down and whispered in a stage-whisper, “It’s ok, sugar, everyone still loves you.” We all laughed, and then realized it wasn’t the actual sugar that was harmful to us – it was our beliefs about it!

Doing our spiritual practices will lead us into healthy living. If we really trust the Infinite Intelligence within us, we will be guided to the right foods, the right practitioners, the right methodologies to facilitate our healing.

Affirm: Divine Mind assists me in attaining the consciousness of healthy living.

Thursday, October 2, 2008

Day 32

In the classic book by Raymond Charles Barker, Treat Yourself to Life, he writes:

"The center of your life is within you, flowing out from you to the circumference. The circumference you call your world, your experience. Realize, however, that the circumference could not be unless there was a creative center within you. This creative center in the midst of you is called by most religions the Spirit of God. It is self-evident that life arises at the center and moves to the circumference. It is self-evident that in the world of which you are the center, you are the only thinker."

Meditate on this today. At the centre of you is You!! It is all powerful, unconditionally loving, and the divine pattern of perfect health. Let that Beloved Energy nurture you today. Let it continue to move from the center of your Being and fill every cell of your body with Light, every thought of your mind with Peace, and every beat of your heart with Love.

Day 31

When we’re not feeling comfortable in our bodies or in our lives, we tend to focus on that discomfort. As we focus on it, it gets worse, so we focus on it even more. We set up a cycle of energy that creates more and more discomfort.

Ernest Holmes, the founder of Religious Science, wrote: "When a man's thought rests entirely on himself, he becomes abnormal and unhappy but when he gives himself with enthusiasm to any legitimate purpose, losing himself in the thing in which he is doing, he becomes normal and happy. Let the one who is sad, depressed, or unhappy find some altruistic purpose into which he may pour his whole being and he will find a new inflow of life of which he has never dreamed."

In other words, to get out of the cycle – do something for someone else!

Now you might say to me “You don’t understand, I hurt too much to do anything” or “I don’t have any money to do anything for anyone” or ???.

Doing something for someone else doesn’t have to be BIG – you can pick up the phone and tell someone how much you appreciate them …. You can write someone a letter. You can offer to walk someone’s dog.

The point is to be of service. Years ago I picked up a greeting card and read “The best exercise for the heart is reaching out and helping someone up.” That has stuck with me for many years, and it works! If I am feeling down, when I reach out to serve someone else, I am able to get out of my ‘pity-party’ and for the time I am serving them, I am not thinking about what’s wrong with me!! I give that cycle a rest … and if I do it consciously enough, I break that cycle, and pretty soon begin to feel lighter, and more healthy in all areas of my life!

Try it today!

Affirm: I am ready and willing to be of service to my world.

Day 30

Not long ago someone I know was given a diagnosis. They began to do a lot of research on this diagnosis. They found lots of symptoms they were familiar with, and they found lots to be afraid of,

I totally appreciate the research they did to discover what the diagnosis meant ....
HOWEVER -- (and you knew from me there'd be a however, eh?!)
I cautioned them to be very careful of the consciousness they were doing this research with!!

Think about this: If you accept a diagnosis and the "facts" surrounding it, you will get to experience all of that. If you allow yourself to have a metaphysical understanding come from your research, you will be able to move through the experience much faster.

Remember, what you're looking for, you will find -- that's basic quantum physics and metaphysics.

So here's a story for you:

Years and years ago when I was studying with the late Rev. Helen Street in Honolulu, I was living with my boyfriend, my cat and my dog. My dog and I had been together for years, and we had an agreement he would never have fleas -- and he didn't.

When my boyfriend, who was an organic chemist, started living with me, every night he would pet Hobbs (the dog) and then turn him over and examine him for fleas. I kept telling him that Hobbs didn’t have fleas, and he would scoff “All dogs have fleas.”

I went to Helen and told her about this and my fears that he would find what he was looking for!! She said "Don't worry, the trained mind is the dominant mind" and walked away.

I realized that if I bought into Rick's belief that all dogs have fleas, then that would become our reality! So I stuck to my story -- Hobbs didn't need to have fleas, and never had, and never would -- and he never did -- which is saying something in the islands!!

Please know that I am not belittling anyone’s diagnosis - or the work they are doing to understand it. I am looking at it from a metaphysical viewpoint.
A diagnosis is a "fact" -- we live in the Truth!! Look for and focus on The Truth, and The Truth will set you free!

Affirm: Regardless of appearances, the Truth of me is perfect, Divine, health.

Day 29

Some participants share:

Lisa wrote about her forgiveness process: “Last night was day 7 for me and yes, I feel a lot lighter but more appreciative of the things that have happened to me, for there were some valuable lessons in them.
When I first starting writing "I forgive me for________.", I had a lot, from the past but as the time progress the list got shorter and shorter. Two days ago, I realized my list of "I forgive me for_______." was from the day, not days, months or years ago. How freeing is that? It's so good to know that I won't be harboring stuff of today into the future.
I realized it was a mis-take of the day, am learning from the mis-take and have forgiven myself for it.
I am loving it!
I am down to less than a half a cigarette, I think it is now more than habit than a need to smoke before I go to bed or maybe it's both but Thank God, each day, I am getting better and better! Amen!!!”

What a great insight Lisa ! My foster Mother used to say that one reason she and my foster father had such a good relationship is that they refused to go to bed angry. They did not hold grudges or resentments. They took care of the days problems right away, and always ended their day appreciating each other. This is a really important part of healing. I believe our cells respond quickly and we all know how good it feels to be appreciated!

Neall wrote: “My old health fears arose today, too. ….today when I’m feeling wonderfully alive, the old neurotic thoughts took over again: “You’re getting a life-threatening illness.” I recognized them, today, though, instead of letting them take me over. I suddenly realized: “It’s another gremlin!” I then spent a half hour doing EFT on the situation, which has helped. This is something new: Catching the gremlin in action the same day. Progress!”

Good for you Neall, for acknowledging the work you are doing! This is also a very important part of healing!!

Where the attention goes, the energy flows. The more we acknowledge the effects of our healing efforts, the more those effects will show up in our lives. Let yourself acknowledge everything, no matter how small it is. If you are healing your financial life and see a penny on the ground – pick it up and yell “IT’S WORKING!” If you’re healing your physical body, and you have a moment when you feel really good, acknowledge it and yell “IT’S WORKING!” If you’re healing an addiction, and you don’t take that huge helping of dessert, or find yourself out of cigarettes, acknowledge yourself and yell “IT’S WORKING!”

And yes, I want you to yell – even if you do it in your mind. I want you to get emotional about your acknowledgment of your successes! Physically - getting emotional creates a shower of the proper neuropeptides for our health! Spiritually – we are recognizing the Power Within and how It works through us!

Affirm: All the cells of my body are daily bathed in the perfection of my divine being.

Day 28

Another good day to pray:

Radiant Life is expressing throughout the Universe – always has been, always will. This Life is GodLife … direct Source Energy. It is flowing in and through all things, including me.

I focus on GodLife as It moves through my body and the body of my affairs. As It moves though, it heals and nurtures. As It moves through I realize It is a never- ending fountain of Good. I can not get away from It, because It is who I am.

I now declare I am in perfect health. There is nothing wrong with me that changing my belief about myself and my Good won’t heal. All of my “history” of dis-ease is now released. I live in this moment, and in this moment I am whole.

I breathe deeply anchoring this Truth. I am healthy! My body, my finances, my relationships and my word are healthy. I am an excellent outpicturing of God in Action. I am so grateful to be consciously aware of this Truth. I know God is all there is – and where God is all is well. I accept my wellness with Grace.

I release these words into the Law of Mind, knowing they are already done. And so it is.

Day 27

Sometimes when we’re not feeling well, we forget to nurture ourselves. We struggle to do what we think others want us to do—or what we think we should do according to our “to do lists.”

Today is a day to nurture our boundaries. If you don’t have any – set some! If you have some, but haven’t honoured them – then do that.

Cross out the “to do’s” and do something that nurtures your soul. Have you spent time in your sacred space lately? How about letting Mother Nature nurture you with a walk in the nearest treed space? How about a long soak in the tub? Or just lay on the couch with a cup of tea, a book or your favourite funny movie.

Give your Self permission to nurture you today. Anywhere you are, what ever you do, acknowledge it as sacred space and time.

Affirm: I celebrate the healing processes taking place within me. I relax and let Spirit do the work.

Day 26

Yesterday I mentioned that I believe our pain has a message for us and that most pain comes from the resistance to that inner message that is working its way into our conscious mind.

Sometimes this pain comes about because we have asked (and asked and asked) the Universe “WHY!! Why am I experiencing this? Why did I bring this into my life? What is the purpose for this illness?” and then when the answer comes, we turn away from it.

Here is a wonderful affirmation from Rev. Gloria Diamond Conley, United Centers for Spiritual Living online teacher and Education Director for the Global Heart Spiritual Center in Santa Rosa, CA.

Everything I experience is teaching me what I need to know
in order to release what I need to release
in order to experience the good
that is already mine!

Thank God!

Day 25

Are you passionate about being healthy?

If you’ve answered yes – and I hope you did - then I ask you this question – do you spend as much time mentally and emotionally on your health as you do on your dis-ease? Our bodies respond faster to our thoughts than any thing else. In fact, we could say that our bodies are “thick thought!”

If we spend 5 minutes in prayer regarding our health, and then 24 hours and 55 minutes complaining, talking, or thinking about it, which do you think the Universe is going to respond to? The Universe always responds to our dominant thoughts – that which we think about the most.

You might be thinking .. “You don’t know how much pain I’m in – how can I think of anything but that?” I’m going to suggest something to you that might be scary …. If all you can think about is pain - go into it! It has a message for you. And I know from experience that a lot of my pain came from resistance to getting that message. AND I also know that at the center of pain is stillness.

Try this… if there is a painful place in your body, breathe deeply and let yourself go right into that pain … for a moment you will find yourself really focusing on the feeling of pain, and let yourself go past that … keep going into that pain until you find its center. You will find the place that is Spirit – with no pain, no dis-ease. Rest in that place for a few moments. Then consciously pay attention to what it feels like to be free of the feeling of pain. Now ask what your message is. If you can, make a decision about that message. (ie: if the message is to let in Love, then your decision is about how you will do that). Rest easily again for a few moments in that stillness and again feel what it feels like to be free of pain. Let it be your intention to be pain free always. Breathe deeply to anchor this experience and your intention and let it go.

Now you have set your mind at a place where it remembers what it is to be pain-free. When ever you are feeling ill, go back to that place. The more you do, the more you will experience it in your physical being. Each time you have periods of being pain-free, acknowledge the work you have done! You will see that those periods become longer and longer.

I KNOW for all of us, that we are getting better and better every day!

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Day 24

This morning I woke with a backache. Those that know me, know that over the years (since I had a car accident in 1975) I have experienced times of great pain because of my back. The last time was about two years ago, when I woke to find myself twisted and in excruciating pain. I hadn’t fallen, bent over wrong, or done anything to cause it that I knew of. After months at the chiropractor, my spine was straight again, and I have felt stronger than ever.

Today I found my mind filling will fear. What if that horrible experience is coming back? What if I’m not as healthy as I think I am? What is something else is wrong?

When I noticed what I was doing mentally, I realized I’d better change my thinking – fast!!

I sat in meditation which led me to doing some yoga stretches. While I did them, I complimented my back for being strong, for carrying me through my days. I blessed my spine for keeping my nervous system protected. I gave my body love. While I was doing these things, I felt myself calming down, and becoming relaxed on all levels. At this moment, my back feels wonderful!!

Ernest Holmes wrote that we should focus on the results we want not on the appearances! Yet sometimes it’s hard not to focus on what ‘is’ at the moment. Those thoughts I was having were not new ones either … I’ve been there before.

This was such a clear example for me of the energy I radiate – I felt heavy and distressed when I was considering possibilities I wouldn’t like …. And I felt so much lighter when I changed my mind!

How about you? How easy is it becoming for you to recognize when you are contributing to the situation with your thoughts? Let’s let Spirit help us, so we can more quickly change our minds!

Affirm: Divine Mind now assists me in gently moving back into thinking thoughts for my highest good.

Day 23

A “Morning Blessing” I received via e-mail from Rev. Angela Peregoff --- WWW.ANGELAPERGOFF.COM -- so says what I wanted to say today, I’m going to share it with you:

When you hold a thought of disease, you start to become it. When you have a thought of limitation, you are gifted it. Where your thoughts are, is where you dwell, it is your creational address. This address then becomes your quantified universe and defined field of light. Redefine who you are to yourself and then it will follow as the day follows the night that you will be re-defined in every cell of your body, and level of your life.

You are the center of Universe. Do not take that lightly. For wherever you stand in your thinking, in your self, in your awareness -- ripples out through all existence. It affects your past and present and your future, for all is connected to every thought of the Present.

Stop whining in your humanness and see how grand you are, for you are greater than all that has ever been created. You are the Light that calls to Itself. Awaken from sleep and amnesia and see the Grandness of your Being. Do not be humbled by your own light, for it is grander than you can conceive. That is your Divine Right and your Divine Inheritance.

What is your “creational address?” Pay attention as you move through your day – honour your Divine inheritance!

AFFIRM: I now experience the world from a renewed sense of Self!

Day 22

One of our participants decided to really move some energy! She started working the forgiveness process and cutting back on smoking at the same time. I e-mailed her about her courage to do such a thing – because I know both processes can be very emotional!

Yesterday she wrote:

“What came to me tonight, about the limited smoking - only had two today - was that I had been smoking for the last 29 years and this was like a "marriage" to me. Albeit, a marriage of inconvenience/habit but nonetheless the same. My actually marriage didn't last that long.

This is going to be a separation but I am willing to go through it and not because I have to but because I want to! I want to live a healthy, long life for the next 29+ years! Hm, those are the same reasons I left my abusive husband!

Thank you again for the treatment, it really helped me to remember, what I am and why I am here!

How delightfully freeing our “ah ha’s” are!! As a teenager I had a realization that once I understood a problem, it was no longer a problem! (That might not be true for everyone – especially if we choose to stay attached to the problem.) Recognizing that smoking was like “a marriage” that no longer serves her, is an understanding that will make it a lot easier to let go of the habit!

Another participant wrote:

Doing my seventy times sevens on my father I feel like I’m becoming a “spiritual athlete”. Not a bad job, actually; a lot of those Olympic athletes seemed pretty happy from their “work”. I think I’ll be addressing my mother and older brothers next.

I love the idea of being a spiritual athlete!! Athletes train and work hard at doing their best. They are focused on a goal, and KNOW they want to win!! We can train by reading spiritual materials, going to classes and Sunday Gatherings, and most of all – DOING THE WORK!

Years ago when I was packing my books for a move, I saw I had read most of them by all I had underlined, yet when it came to the exercises suggested, I had skipped over them. Somewhere in the Science of Mind, Ernest Holmes writes – and here I’m going to have to paraphrase – “The time for theory is past – it’s time to put the Principles to work!”

We are 1/3 into our adventure together …. Today, let’s take a deep breath and re-commit ourselves to this work, knowing that what we are consciously doing, is changing our consciousness to one of Divine Health!

AFFIRM: I am so grateful to know that as I change my mind, I change my life!

Sunday, September 21, 2008

Day 21

It’s a good day to pray! Join me in this Spiritual Mind Treatment …. Read it with as much feeling and belief as you can, as many times as you desire. I have written it in the first person to make it easier for you to embody:

One Power – One Presence – One Life. I open my heart and mind today to this Truth. There is only One. I am of this Oneness and It is good.

Knowing this, I speak my word for wholeness. I declare

“I feel healthy – body, mind & emotions!”

As I make this declaration, all the power of the Universe is behind my words. I accept them as my Truth. I am a radiation of Divine Health.

I am now conscious of this Truth at the sub-atomic level. I imagine everything moving into its perfect place. I feel the radiation of Health moving up through my atoms, my cells, my bones, my muscles, my organs, my skin. All my systems are responding effortlessly! As I scan my body in my mind’s eye, I rejoice at its perfection! What a miracle I am!

I feel this radiation of Health clearing my mind of all thoughts that no longer serve me. I feel my heart being swept clean of all emotional baggage. There is a vitality in me that is greater than anything I have experienced before!

I celebrate Divine Health as me, here and now! I am grateful to experience this awesome Presence within me. I am grateful for the One Life – God’s Life – the Life I am living fully now!

I release these words into the Law of Mind, knowing they are already done. And so It is.

Saturday, September 20, 2008

Day 20

Sometimes when life has been painful, mentally, emotionally or physically, we lock ourselves away in a cocoon of darkness. We become depressed and forget our magnificence. Meditation is an excellent way to move out of that darkness.

And if you just can’t meditate, then distract yourself! Remember the story of Norman Cousins who healed himself of disease through laughter? He watched old movies and had friends tell him jokes. He consciously moved himself to a higher vibration, and it worked!!

Today would be a good day to play! What is it that makes you smile? If it’s movies, rent some comedies and have a popcorn & movie day. Or go to YouTube, put “comedy” in the search engine, and laugh yourself silly. If it’s books, find something fun to read. Or maybe it’s time to get out some crayons and paper and have fun creating your own cartoons.

YOU know what makes you happy – so instead of thinking about getting well (or about being sick) – do something fun!! That is great medicine!!

Affirm: I have a healthy sense of humour! I enjoy having fun!

Friday, September 19, 2008

Day 19

Sometimes in the middle of changing our consciousness about something it seems like all hell breaks loose, or life becomes too hard to handle. When we don‘t feel well, everything becomes intensified. Daily chores, like cooking, doing the laundry, and paying bills, seem to become just too much.

When this happens, stop! Nothing is as important in that moment as your emotional health! Allow yourself to take time out. Science is beginning to prove that stress is on of the greatest factors in physical disease.

Have you ever walked into an older church and felt the sacredness of that place? I believe that years of people using the building as a sacred place imbued it with spiritual, healing, comforting energy. I would like to suggest that you create a quiet, sacred place in your home. It could be a room, a corner or a comfortable chair. You might place a candle there, or a picture of something that is sacred and peaceful for you. Infuse this area with Love. Have it be your intention that every time you come to this spot, you are renewing the energy of wholeness. You can do your Spiritual Mind Treatments, spiritual reading and meditation in this spot. Or you can just come to be refreshed.

Here is an exercise for your sacred place: Close your eyes and take long, slow deep breaths. When you feel yourself calming, imagine you are breathing from your heart space – in the middle of your chest. Breathe in love, breathe out the stress. Feel your emotional body calming. Keep breathing and imagine the Love of The Divine filling you up and nurturing you. When you feel more balanced, that The Divine for Its healing Presence within you.

Thursday, September 18, 2008

Day 18

How is your forgiveness process coming along? Are you beginning to feel lighter?

Towards the end of his life, Ernest Holmes was playing with the idea of vibration. He knew as he did a Spiritual Mind Treatment, he was setting up a vibration in the Universe. I think Holmes would probably appreciate the Abraham teachings of Jerry and Esther Hicks today. They are the most popular vibrational teachers at the moment, yet we’ve known that we radiate energy for a long time. I can remember in the early ’70s talking about the “vibes” we got and gave off.

Science is now saying that each of our cells has an intelligence that is constantly working to keep that cell healthy. Our feelings of health are supporting that work. Our fears of being sick create havoc in that work. Our feelings are what set up the higher vibrations of health, or the lower vibrations of illness.

Today, let yourself imagine that you are bathing your cells with the energy of health. Breathe deeply and let yourself FEEL this. Feel a vibration of Love moving through your body at the cellular level with every beat of your heart. Love is the greatest healing agent in this universe.

Nourish your cells with this Love, and imagine them healthy and strong.

Notice as you do this, that you begin to feel lighter.

Close this healing exercise with gratitude. Be grateful to your cells, be grateful for the Infinite Intelligence within them, and be grateful for your health!

Wednesday, September 17, 2008

Day 17

Lynne McTaggart writes in her “Living From the Field” course:

Illness appears to be a disturbance in the quantum fluctuations of an individual. Healing might therefore be a matter of reprogramming individual quantum fluctuations to operate more coherently. It appears we can order the random fluctuations in the Zero Point Field and use this to establish greater 'order' in another living thing. Healing may be seen as providing 'information' that can return the system to stability.

This sounds like a scientific way to explain what Spiritual Mind Treatment does! And what “information” would we be providing? We would be remembering that who we are is much greater than any “disturbance” … who we are is Life Itself – completely whole, healthy and Divine. No greater Truth is needed to return the system to stability!

Tuesday, September 16, 2008

Day 16

The last forgiveness process I want to share with you has had of talk going around about it lately. It is Ho’o Pono Pono. As with lots of methods, there are many styles. I was taught Ho’opono Pono Ke Ala by my Hawaiian sister, Mahealani Kuamo’o Henry. http://alohaspiritaunty.com/index.html

Aunty Mahealani says “Ho’opono Pono Ke Ala, is the belief system and method for “making right more right, the path.” It is the ancient knowing that you are obviously the best “you” ever, there are no duplicates, you’re It, the original YOU; the god-goddess makes no mistakes!”

This form of forgiveness might be the hardest of all, because it requires us to realize that absolutely everything has happened for our good. No matter what it looked like or felt like, there was a blessing in it somewhere, and the recognition of this blessing brings us back to our authentic selves.

Let’s look back at some of the experiences we’ve had, and realize that those experiences were sort of a cosmic push into our greater good. Allow yourself to be grateful they happened. The point of Ho’opono Pono, is to be able to do that with all our experiences! Make what was right, even more right, by claiming it as a sacred experience and accepting its blessings.

Affirm with me:

Regardless of appearance, everything in my life has been for my highest good. I accept the blessings!

Monday, September 15, 2008

Day 15

SO – have you picked a forgiveness process and started the work? I know we have very busy lives, and are working through lots of things, yet this work is essential to our health! Why would we put it off?!

My dear friend, MerriLu Parks, a medical intuitive who with her husband moved to Brazil to work with John of God, writes this:

Here at the Casa, the staff and John of God speak nearly every single day about the importance of forgiveness!!!
They state that forgiveness and love open us to the energies of healing being able to penetrate and permeate our bodies on the deepest levels.

I heard one person ask a staff member how many times she had to forgive a particular person...she was told, "As many times as necessary!"

(Google “John of God” and you’ll find that this is a man who has given his life over to facilitating healing and has served thousands!)

Another member of our list writes that he realized once again he has to do the forgiveness process on his Father …. My feeling is that we forgive to the best of our ability each time we do it, and if stuff comes up around that person again, it’s not that we didn’t do it right the first time, it is that we have uncovered another layer.

Laura wrote: I wanted to send you a quick note to tell you THANK YOU for including the comment to “create a file in your computer”. I am a very private person and sometimes feel that if I write it in my written journal, someone will read it. I believe it prevents me from really letting go. Now, you have empowered me to use my computer! There was a part of me who, before I read your suggestion, thought that typing it might not be as effective. I must say I have started the below in a new Word document and took your approach in just letting whatever bubbles up from my subjective mind!! Thank you again for bringing me the exact words I need to hear. Awesome how Spirit works!

Isn’t it interesting how we can distract ourselves from doing the work our Soul wants to do? “Can’t write it in my journal, someone might find it …. Have to write it out in long hand….” Oh, how well I know this!! I had those same thoughts the first time I did this work, then decided to sit down at my typewriter (remember those!?) because I could type faster than I could write. The first time I found my fingers cramped up terribly – not because of the amount of typing – I am an excellent typist – but because there was a part of me that was resisting. I realized I was afraid to do the work!! I was determined however, and kept breathing into it, and resting my hands, and when the 7 days were over, I was so glad that I persevered!

Tomorrow I am going to share one more process with you. You can also google 'forgiveness' and find many more processes. Find the one that resonates with you, and then DO IT!! Our lives depend on it.

Affirm with me: With every breath, I am getting healthier !! Thank God!

Sunday, September 14, 2008

Day 14

It’s a good day to pray – I invite you to take a deep cleansing breath, and read this with feeling. I have written it in the first person to make it easier for each of us to embody.

The Truth of me is birthless, ageless, deathless. I am Spirit in human form. All the attributes I have given to the Source of All, are within me, just as all the components of the ocean are in the individual drops of water.

Today I choose to swim in the consciousness of the I AM. I AM is everything. It is infinitely intelligent and unconditionally loving. It is Life Itself. I consciously breathe this Life into me, and feel It mix with Life within me. Each breath I take is a healing breath. Each thought I think from the I AM is a powerful thought.

I declare I AM health. Every fibre of my being on every level is an expression of Divine Health. All the atoms making up the cells of my body are radiating Divine Life. This radiation moves through me, nurturing me, blessing me, filling me with the conscious awareness that all is well.

I celebrate this Truth with each breath I take today, remembering it is the Divine Breath that is breathing me.

Gratefully I release this word into the Law of Mind, knowing it is already done. And so It is.

Day 13

Another excellent tool for forgiveness is by Colin Tipping, author of Radical Forgiveness – Makin Room for the Miracle. Mr. Tipping has done awesome work, helping thousands of people break through emotional barriers to their highest good.
If you click here:
http://radicalforgiveness.com/rmworksheet/index.php?p=register
You will find a place you can register and then either download the worksheet or do it online.

I’ve used the online worksheet a few times (it has explanations that are handy as you are doing the work) – the most amazing was when I decided to forgive my ex-husband. Not only was I able to do that – but I had a deep realization about my responsibility in the matter. I saw where I hadn’t allowed my needs to be met, and how I had blamed him for it. It was an eye opener – and quite liberating! I felt such a surge of love for him when I had finished the process!

You probably know this, but I feel I must say it. Forgiveness is not about condoning the other person’s actions – in fact, it is not about the other person at all. Forgiveness brings us to a spiritual realization that there are no mistakes, that everything happens for a reason, and enables us to see the blessings in life. We are now, and always have been, spiritually guided. Forgiveness is about our emotional freedom.

Affirm with me: I am ready and willing to let my heart be free!

If you find that you’d like to talk, please send me an e-mail with your phone number and a good time to call – or we can meet in my chatroom.
The Thank God We're Healthy campaign is being archived on http://tgwh.blogspot.com
Feel free to let others know about it. Thank you for participating!
Also feel free to share any demonstration stories – we all love hearing them!! Send them to me, and I will add them to our Monday e-mails.

Friday, September 12, 2008

Day 12

There are many tools for transformation in the area of forgiveness. I am going to share a couple of my favourites in the next few days. I ask you to read them with an open heart and the willingness to let Spirit guide you to the right one for you. The work MUST be done, and our intention to do it will bring us the process that is perfect for us. It might be one I share with you, or you might suddenly find one in your e-mail box, or a friend might tell you about one that worked for them. Pay attention to your body … It will let you know which one you should use. Maybe you’ll feel it in your gut, maybe the hairs on the back of your neck will stand up. We’ll talk more about body intuition later – right now believe me when I say your body knows what it needs – on all levels.

Years ago, when I was first studying the Science of Mind, I found a book in the Glendale California Church bookstore that called to me. It was The Only Diet There Is, by Sondra Ray. (I laugh now when I think that I was overweight then!!) However, the book wasn’t about diets at all! And the most valuable thing I got from it was a forgiveness process that I have used over and over again because I got results!

Here is her process: Pick a start date (today would be good) … create a file in your computer, or get a special book, and approach this process as spiritual practice. Now choose the person you want to forgive.

Every day for 7 consecutive days, write down 70 times “I forgive ___________.” Let’s say I wanted to forgive my Mother. Then every day I would write 70 times “I forgive my Mother (or Mommy or what ever name you called her as a child). This must be done for 7 consecutive days. What I’ve noticed over the years with this process, is that after day 4, most people begin to feel quite a bit lighter, and feel complete with the exercise. However I will tell you from personal experience that if you quit at day 4, you haven’t released the stuck energy!

Now, the first time I used this process I wrote “I forgive my Mother for ___________.” I wrote down the first thing that came up. I felt like memory bubbles were coming up from my subjective mind and wanted to be released. So without allowing myself to get into the feelings of the memory, I wrote it down and went on to the next one. I was amazed at what I was still holding on to!!
I wrote down everything that came up and when nothing else came up I just wrote “I forgive my Mother.” Until I reached the 70. The next day I started again – and some of the same memories came up, but I wrote them down anyway. At the end of the 7 days, I felt freed from a heaviness I didn’t even know I had been experiencing!

A few weeks later I called my Father’s home and my Mother answered the phone. They had been divorced for quite awhile so this surprised me. I hadn’t spoken to her in over 12 years. We started talking, and she said she was willing to meet with me, but not yet. A few months later my sister invited me over and our Mother was there. We talked late into the night, and both apologized in our own ways for the way we had behaved.

I have used this process many times over the years, and each time, something amazing has happened … maybe not right away, but there was definitely an experience that happened that proved to me that my changing my consciousness and letting go worked for all the people concerned!!

Affirm with me: I am ready and willing to be guided into the forgiveness method that will work for me.

Day 11

September 11th. A few years ago today, in just a few moments, the world was changed drastically. So is it with our lives when we get a diagnosis, have a car accident, get fired, our mate says they leaving, or someone we love dies. In an instant, everything is different. Suddenly we don’t feel the same as we did a few moments before. Suddenly everything feels chaotic, and unbalanced.

According to many of our world’s ancient and modern saints, sages and scientists, it is not the actual event that creates the chaos in our world – it is how we respond to it. Not that responding in shock, anger, grief, etc., is wrong, it is just that those are temporary emotions that we sometimes get stuck in.

As you created your list of people to forgive, what did it feel like? Did you find yourself replaying the drama over in your mind. Did the old hurts come up? Think of the amount of energy you are using to keep those feelings alive. Imagine where that energy has become stuck in your body or in your life. Forgiveness is the ‘Divine WD 40’ that gets us unstuck, and gives us back that energy to use elsewhere – like creating a joy-filled life!

Look again at your forgiveness list, and re-evaluate why you want to be healthy. In the next few days I will share with you some powerful forgiveness techniques.

Affirm with me: I am ready to receive all of Life’s blessings!

Day 10

Dr. Candace Pert, in the Molecules of Emotion, writes that forgiveness is a key bodymind concept in healing.

Just as I am typing this, a friend from the Philippines, who I’ve known for many years, pops up on instant message. When I told him what I was doing he said “Forgiveness will restore one’s health – personal experience speaking.” I asked him if I could share his story, and so here it is.

In late 1989, Lee went to the doctor for a lump on his throat that kept growing. It was walnut sized! He was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Very soon after his diagnosis, Jerald Jampolski’s book Love is Letting go of Fear came into his life along with Louise Hay’s You Can Heal Your Life. He decided to “try it.”

This led him into getting involved with A.A., and working on getting rid of resentments as one of the requirements to “stay sober.”

From the day he completely surrendered his rage and anger to God, and decided he would be willing to “try it”, it only took two weeks for the cancerous lump to disappear. That day was Dec. 27, 1989 – The doctors had told him he would be dead by Christmas.

It took him two years to become brave enough to go back for a check up … and when he did, they said “You don’t have any cancer.” He’s now been sober and healthy for 18 years and 9 months.

In so many of the healing experiences I am aware of, forgiveness has been the key component. One doesn’t have to have a drastic diagnosis to affect change in their lives, yet that’s often the way it seems to happen. How fortunate we are to be in a position to do the healing work now, before it gets to that place.

If you haven’t made your list of people to forgive – now is the time to do it!

Today I’d like you to reflect on WHY you want to be healthy.

Affirm with me:

I am willing to surrender everything that is unnecessary for my highest good.

Day 9

The words healing, health and even holy all come from an Old English root word for Wholeness. What does this word mean to you?

For me, wholeness is a quality of Being that means I am in total alignment with The Divine. It means I’m not hiding anything or holding anything back. I am complete in Spirit.

This week might be a hard week for some as we move along this Path to changing our consciousness about our health, whether it is mental, physical or emotional. I say hard, because I believe some of the hardest work we have to do to be whole, is to collect all of our disowned parts …. And that comes through forgiveness.

It’s interesting that this subject comes up on Day 9. A 9 is the completion of a cycle. Aren’t you fed up with the pain and stress you have felt? Are you ready to drop that story and go forward? Let’s do this work, and release the past, so that we can move forward with grace. Forgiveness can unblock money flows, release pain from our bodies and hearts, stop us from eating uncontrollably, and move us into a place of doing the work that we’re here to do in our world.

Today, let’s take the first step: go within, be honest and examine your feelings. Who or what do you have to forgive?

What I know is True – is that as we take the first steps towards wholeness, the entire Universe rushes in to support us. Breathe into it. Remember, The Divine works for you as you work It.

Day 8

We have some great sharings!

Neall wrote:
Yesterday morning during my regular prayer session by the river, the phrase came to me “No blame, no blame.” It was a great relief to hear these words. They meant to me that there was no one to blame for my health condition, neither myself nor my family of origin. This seems to take the emotional charge from the condition, which would be an important step. . . .

This is a very powerful realization. Though I believe we had a hand (or should I say mind) in creating what ever we are experiencing, we should not blame ourselves, anything or anyone. Blaming keeps us stuck. We accept what is, and move on to what we want, without judgment or condemnation. This is what I feel is true self-love. Good for you Neall!!

The TGWH campaign is awesome! You brought it out at the perfect time. In mid-August I experienced something of a setback with my multiple sclerosis-like condition. I was at the dentist’s office having my teeth x-rayed, my mouth was full of film and I had a severe gagging episode and was not breathing for a few seconds. This triggered extreme fatigue and weakness. I am just now beginning to feel better. My mood had been under the weather. This afternoon I did an affirmative exercise making a list of words describing my intent for myself. The process itself was invigorating. I thought you might enjoy seeing my list:

This is me, this is who I AM:

Energetic, robust, fit, healthful, hearty, right, sound, well, whole, wholesome, fit as a fiddle, hale and hearty, in fine fettle, vigorous, bouncing, dashing, eager, spry, spirited, thriving, blooming, flourishing, flowering, glowing, peaches-and-cream, bright and clear, shining, making a splash, dazzling, gleaming, glowing, radiant, twinkling, blissful, blithe, cheerful, luminous, ecstatic, effulgent, chic, lively, vivacious, full of life, pert, animated, dynamic, peppy, zippy, enthusiastic, keen, vivid, zestful, lively, vital, invigorating, dancing .

Thank you for your guidance on this awesome journey.

Thank you for participating!! And I LOVE your list!! I can feel the Universe giggling as it attracts to you that which makes all this your wonderful reality!!

Your list also reminds me to remind all of us that moving back into a healthy consciousness does not have to be serious work!! Yes, you have to have to take your intention seriously, but have fun with it!!

I see you dancing in joy Beky!

How's this for serendipity? Right after starting Thank God I'm Healthy, Unity offers us this little blessing. How cool is that?!

Before I share the prayer from Unity – Jeff has pointed out something very important! The Universe supports us TOTALLY in achieving our desires!! I want you all to notice what is showing up in your lives to support you on this “change of consciousness” journey. Start paying attention to the love notes from The Divine! And each time you find one, be grateful – because this is evidence that the work you are doing is making a difference, not only in your life, but in the lives of more people than we could possibly imagine. Aren’t we Power full ! Yea God!!

Healing
The revitalizing life of God heals my body and renews my spirit.
I am a vibrant, walking, talking phenomenon of God's healing power. How amazing my body is as, cell by cell, from head to toe, I am regenerated.
My awareness of this renewal process grows as I turn my attention and appreciation to the remarkable capacity my body has to heal. Whether I have a mere scrape or a more serious condition, God has created me to heal and remain whole.
My mind and spirit are refreshed with the continuous healing activity of God. My thinking is sharp and directed. My spirit is uplifted and restored.
Trusting in my ability to heal, I am reassured with peace of mind and renewed with a calm, strengthened spirit.
"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved; for you are my praise."--Jeremiah 17:14

Day 7

Today is a good day to pray:
Take a couple of deep breaths and join me, would you?

I recognize the powerful Presence of The Divine right here where I am. It surrounds me and nurtures me. It fills me up from deep within my being. It supports me in all ways. I am so grateful to know this and to feel it.

I celebrate Divine Mind as I place these words into It:
Regardless of appearances, I am healthy in body, mind and emotions. Every cell of my body, every bit of my affairs, are vitally alive with Divine Energy.
This Energy is the essence of Divine Love and Love is the greatest healing agent in the universe.
I breathe deeply again, and feel the Energy of my unconditionally loving Life Force as It moves through me. I imagine in my mind how this Energy seeps down to the quantum level of every cell in my body, rearranging things to be in perfect order. I feel this Energy as It fills me up and spills out into my circle of influence - into the atmosphere in which I move on a daily basis. Everything is brought into Divine Alignment and this is good - so very good.

Gratefully I accept this work as already done. I step out on my Path called Life, renewed in body, mind, heart and Spirit. God is all there is, and where God is, all is well.
And so it is.

Day 6

In Jerusalem, the Jordan River is the source of two lakes: the Lake of Galilee, which is filled with fish and surrounded by greenery, and the Dead Sea, which is just what it sounds like… no fish, no surrounding plants.

The only difference between these lakes is that one has an inlet and an outlet which allows the water to flow through and the other does not – it only has an inlet.

I mention this because I believe much of pain is caused by resistance. If we truly are Energy Beings, when we resist anything, being it pain in body, mind or heart, we are creating a dam for the Divine Flow. All experiences come to PASS not to stay – nothing is permanent in this dimension.

Today if you are feeling pain, instead of resisting it, breathe into it, and let the energy move through you.

Then use yesterday’s cheer --

“Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better!”

Day 5

Day 5

According to a site I found on the Internet –

Emile Coué, the 19th century French professor and Master Hypnotist, became a pioneer of affirmation techniques -- curing hundreds of patients in Europe and North America by teaching his patients to repeat the following affirmation each morning and evening:

"Every day, in every way, I'm getting better and better."

Using this affirmation alone, the healing results were nothing less than spectacular.

What if it were that easy!?!? What if one simple affirmation, deeply embedded in our subjective mind, could do the work we’ve been trying to do for so long!!

I believe it is. Most of us, when we are experiencing any type of dis-ease, become a little hypochondriac. Now don’t get upset - keep reading.

I discovered a few years ago when I had a very severe back injury, that every little twinge or spasm immediately sent me into thoughts of “Oh no, it’s getting worse! I’m going to end up crippled.”

It wasn’t until I realized what I was doing, and consciously decided to focus on the times my back didn’t hurt, saying “Thank God I’m getting better” that things turned around for me!

How about you? Honestly evaluate your self-talk today. Are you playing the hypochondriac game that I was – or are you your best cheerleader? We get to choose every moment!

All together now – here’s our cheer:

“Every day, in every way, I am getting better and better!”

Yea God!!

Day 4

Now that you’ve had a day to play with yesterday’s affirmation, I thought we’d take it deeper. In Religious Science, we use an affirmative type of prayer we call Spiritual Mind Treatment.

Dr. Ernest Holmes wrote in The Science of Mind on page 277:

“Treatment removes doubt and fear, lets in the realization of the Presence of Spirit, and is necessary while we are confronted by obstructions or obstacles. Every problem is primarily mental, and the answers to our problems will be found in Spiritual Realizations.”

There is a wonderful tutorial on creating your own Spiritual Mind Treatment, and more information as to what it is and how it works on this site http://www.stuartgrayson.com/mindtreatment.html

Now, let me write one for you. I will write it in the first person to make it easier for you to embody. When you first read this Treatment, become aware of how you feel and what your thoughts are. Then please breathe deeply and let yourself read it again, with all the belief and feeling that you can, as many times as you’d like. Remember, you are declaring a Spiritual Truth – and with God all things are possible! As they say in 12 step groups – “It only works if you work it!”

I recognize the Great Wholeness that permeates this universe. It is the Source and Substance of all that is. It is in everything around me and within me. It is the LifeForce of the Universe.

Knowing this Great Wholeness works through me by my use of Spiritual Law, I now declare:

I am delightfully healthy in mind, body and emotions.

As I make this declaration I do so with a clear awareness that all the Power of the Universe is behind me. It moves through me, realigning all I have believed to be out of order, and makes things right. I breathe deeply accepting this Truth. I am an outpicturing of the Great Wholeness. My body is made whole, my mind is whole, my heart is whole. I move forward along my Life Path knowing and experiencing this Truth.

I am grateful for being able to change my thinking and change my life. I am grateful for my conscious awareness of the Divine Wholeness I am now expressing. I am grateful for Life!

I release these words into the Law of Mind, knowing they are already done. And so it is.

Day 3

Yesterday I asked you to define or create the God of your Being as a healing force in your life. Do you realize that once you did that, this wonderfully powerful Divine Energy immediately began to work for you?

It is working in accord with your dominant thoughts. Now this could be good news or bad news for your body depending on what you are focusing on. Are you constantly thinking about pain? Then even though you have set an intention for health, you are telling Divine Mind you want more pain.

I can hear you thinking “But Angelica – when I’m in pain, that’s all I can think about !” Yes, I know - I’ve been there! I also know that our minds can only focus on one thing at a time … so we have to distract it to get past the habit of focusing on what we don’t want.

How do you do that? I will share a few methods over the next couple of days. Today I want to share the most important one. Ask Great Wholeness to help!

My teacher, the late Rev. Helen Street, decided she wanted to stop smoking … all she could think about were cigarettes. So she came up with a simple affirmation: “Divine Mind now assists me in attaining the consciousness of being a non-smoker.” After about a week, she called me to say she had no cigarettes in her home. Not being a smoker, I said “SO?” And she said “It’s working! Diving Mind is assisting me in having the consciousness of a non-smoker!! A smoker always has an extra pack at home!!”

Our mind is part of that Divine Mind! It is here to serve us. And it’s up to us to notice and focus on when It does!!

Affirm today: Divine Mind now assists me in attaining the consciousness of _____________________

(You put in what you’re intending – ie: perfect health, being pain-free, being a non-smoker, having a slim and trim body, etc.).

Now – pay attention! The Universe will serve you well!!

Day 2

Day 2

We've chosen the area we want to work on, and have stated our intention.

Now, please read this phrase out loud:

"With God all things are possible."

Do you truly believe this? How does your body react when you read that phrase out loud in regards to the healing you desire?

Most of us want to believe it, but something stops us from accepting that statement as Truth. Perhaps it is because of our early childhood experiences with religion.

So let's re-define "God." For me, God is a short word meaning the Life force of the Universe. It is the infinitely intelligent Energy that makes up all things. It is in absolutely everything. It is an awesome, magnificent creative process that works through us. It will be what ever we believe It to be. That is Its nature.

Today's Action: Define God for yourself as a healing force in your life.

Example: For the next 59 days therefore, I declare God to be the Great Wholeness of the Universe. As I contemplate that idea, and release my intention to It, I know that all the wisdom I need is within me, all the materials I need are attracted to me, and all the nurturing I need is available to me.

With God all things are possible.

Day 1

Day 1

Congratulations for taking the first step towards the consciousness of Health.
Please know that in taking this step, you have set in motion all the Power of the Universe. It will work for you, through you, and as you in this adventure.
I invite you to fully participate in this process. Please do not just read the daily e-mails and nothing else.
Also know that though this program is geared to our physical bodies, it will work for anything we believe is out of alignment.

Are you ready right now to be committed to 60 days towards changing your health consciousness?

If your answer is yes, get ready!! Change is going to happen!!

Because I am a writer, I would set up a file in my computer, or even get a new journal for this process. However you choose to do it, be real, be honest, and let your your mind and heart move you through these 60 days. Right now, that might seem like a long time -- but believe me, at the end, it will have been worth it!!

You've already taken the first step .. the next one is to acknowledge where you feel out of health.
Be totally honest with yourself. What is it that you would like to feel in your body? What Truth would you like to have revealed? Don't be general -- be specific.

Now that you know what you want - declare your intention to have it be so.
